Shirley leading Poison Ivy Crack (5.9)

Cocaine Crack.
2012: A mix of single and multi-pitch climbing on beautiful granite. We’ve done a few outings there since 2004, including one to Peshastin Pinnacles (sandstone crags; never really had the itch to go back to that place though). After knocking off a couple of moderate classics on Snow Creek Wall and Castle Rock, it seems as though we spend a good deal of our time looking around for the crags vs. climbing…Still have some ideas of what we’d love to do there but first, we’d need to be stronger. There’s some overlap with the Alpine Lakes Wilderness page here.
2017: I think that the special crags in Leavenworth are the Snow Creek Wall and perhaps Castle Rock or Careno. I’ve come to realize that most of the other stuff is a bit ho-hum: lots of hiking and looking around for something that ultimately ends up being ledgy and not that pretty to look at.
