Lolita.Loreto.I first saw a description of some multi-pitch climbing on Baja two years ago while random-walking through the Mexico pages on mountainproject. The beta was posted by James Scheh, the main route developer in the area. I pinged James and he was very helpful and forthcoming with the details. The climbing looked sufficiently interesting, Loreto was supposedly another Pueblo Magico, and we’ve never been to Baja before: all good reasons to go. As we were making some preliminary plans in late 2019, I saw a deal on flights to Bogota that we simply could not pass up and so we went to climb on the escarpment of Suesca in Colombia instead in Q1 of 2020. The thought of going to check out Loreto has never left us however and so we went over Thanksgiving in 2020.
