The weather turned shitty for the next few days. We did a road trip to the funky village of Nyksund some 3 hours away on the north side of the Islands and booked a whale watching cruise out of the village of Andenes for the following day. Not having brought Dramamine with us, we had to procure some local equivalent the evening prior. Unlike the former, this one did have the side effect of making us drowsy which made for an interesting 3.5-hour drive in the early morning hours; but it did keep the pukies away on the 7 hour cruise. We managed to see some orcas but not the advertised sperm whales.
