A potential weather window was flickering on and off for the Stetind area. The fact that the forecasts would not stabilize was not promising but nevertheless we felt like we had to give it a go. We prebooked a motel in the village of Kjøpsvik just south of the mountain and drove the 5+ hours the long way around (ferry free option). Stetind was totally socked in and there was a steady rain the afternoon when we arrived. One little opening in the clouds greeted us in the early morning but by the time we reached the trailhead things started to look hopeless again; and the forecast turned to shit once more. Disappointed we drove back to Henningsvær.
