Summary
I’d like to say that sometimes a good ass kicking is a positive thing…but I think that is only true when you’re the giver. For the recipient that statement is unequivocally horseshit. With that in mind, it was a fine Sunday for the little Regular Route on Careno Crag. What can I say? That little 4 pitch fucker was hard for us. To be more specific, pitches 2 and 3 were fun but the pitches that are the route were less fun. In fact, pitch 4 was not completed by somebody as that somebody had commitment issues for the moves above the discontinuous cracks (& gear). Somebody forgot their lucky shirt or perhaps their nuts…
PS see our friends’ site for how the last pitch ought to be done:

Shirley seconding pitch 1 of the Regular Route. This is the start of the short bolted face section of the pitch (July 2012).

Looking back towards Shirley belaying me from the huge ledge atop pitch 2 of Regular Route (July 2012).
