On Tuesday, having burnt our one get-out-of-jail-free card, we chose not to go for our third objective and instead did a longish road trip to check out four “pueblos magicos” around Queretaro. Those included San Joaquin, Cadereyta de Montes, Tequiquiapan, and Amealco de Bonfil. Pretty nice and not overrun with tourists on a Tuesday.
We flew back home the following day with a bonus side trip to San Francisco. As we found out enroute from Houston, PDX had closed due to snow and we got diverted to SFO. This included an overnight stay courtesy of United.
