Go back to Puerto Rico.
Go back to First Half.

On our final day, we were back at Cerro Las Tetas with the goal of climbing a route called Trifecta. It is in fact a mix of pitches from two or three different (harder) routes and clocks in at five short pitches and 5.10b. A fun outing high above the jungle canopy below. We were back at the car before lunch and so we drove leisurely around the island making a brief stop at the Arecibo Observatory. We knew it was decommissioned & largely destroyed but were hoping for a glance form some nearby peak – that was not to be. The interior of the island looks quite wild and hilly; somewhat reminiscent of karst landscapes of Vietnam. After a quick morning tour of Old San Juan, we were back home the following day.
