City Of Rocks

Too Much Fun

Flaming rock with its classic Raindance route.

We love the City Of Rocks! Something about the white granite domes rising out of the beautiful green pastures of southern Idaho – add to that super fun climbing and it’s almost heaven. We’ve been trying to visit the place at least once a year since our first trip there in the summer of 2002. Though it’s a solid 10 hour push from Portland, it’s definitely doable on a regular weekend with a bit driving overtime. So many more lines we’d like to try there…we’ll be back!
