Post-work, Friday night drive up to Wenatchee and a stay in some shithole motel. Sleep in late, have some breakfast and finally make the trailhead after 10am. An hour long hike-up in the rising temperatures only to discover literally 5 parties on the route. We hike down and enjoy the river below.

Post-work, Friday night drive up to Wenatchee and a stay in some different shithole motel. Wake up early, grab coffee and make the trailhead just past 6am. An hour long hike up in pleasant conditions and no company. An OK climb (6P, 5.10-; easily links into 3 pitches) but the main goal was to test Benny’s ability to wait for us at the base of a multi-pitch route. He did great until we were back on the ground and pulling our ropes…at which point the barking started just as a another party arrived (sorry – hopefully he’ll improve).
