Overview
While cleaning up a hard drive on my work computer, I stumbled on a handful of old photos from a spring 2002 climb of Rooster Rock in the Columbia Gorge. This was during our basic climbing class with the Mazamas. Nothing but warm and fuzzy memories (we did a lot of post outing/post lectures drinking in the Luck Lab pub…) from those days. We’ve taken a couple (actually 1.5 to be exact) classes with the club since that time but somehow never recaptured the fun, easy-going group dynamic we’ve had with those people during the 3 months of the class. We’ve also been up Rooster a handful (5-ish?) more times, including taking some newbies (family and friends). I always seem to enjoy the idea of a quick, post-work, summertime outing to a small (but proud!) pinnacle summit. All the photos shown here were taken by our friend Patrick Wang (rest in peace).Photos
