Summary
Shirley & Haydar taking in the warm sunshine.
A bit of the good ol’ days of cragging as our friend Haydar joined us for a quick in & out to The Bend. We visited the far left side of the cliff for the first time and climbed three new (for us) routes:
Alar (5.8),
Mutiny In Manila (5.10a) and
Heartbreak Of Psoriasis (5.10c). Then it got hot, we lost motivation and enjoyed some Mex food on the way home.

Twelve years of flying by this place and this was the first time we actually stopped by (via a 2 mile u-turn). Somewhere between Goldendale and Yakima there is a Greek bakery (monastery actually). We found some tasty stuff including…
…tasty and rich baklava.

Exiting Alar via the left side (wide) crack…perhaps we should’ve checked the book (May 2015).

Finishing Mutiny In Manila – nice finger to thin hands crack with sufficient rest stems to keep things at 10-.

Blondie almost done with the crux of her day – a cable bridge with a deck featuring some large holes…not a problem in her youth but at 15 years old, it was exciting (May 2015).
