Summary
Mount Cruiser. Our camera died early on the climb. This is one handsome looking peak!
Old notes from Labor Day 2002. Climbed this great fun little peak (via
Route 1) with Shirley and our friend Jeff. Approached from Flapjack Lakes side. Probably one of my favorite mountains to date. The
South Corner is runout but easy and leads to a beautiful summit atop the fin! Will go back to try and do the 5.7 route on the west face of the spire. Our camera died before we got to the summit.
Guess we never worked up the appetite to go back…perhaps some day.

Jeff and Shirley on approach to the Needle Pass on our climb day (day 2). The Needle is above (Labor Day 2002).
Jeff nearing the Needle Pass with the Needle dominating the view. A shitty scramble up a moat (Labor Day 2002).

I think this is a view of Mount Cruiser from the scramble part along the Sawtooth Ridge and the last photo taken by our soon to be dead camera (Labor Day 2002).
