Summary
A an early spring weekend (March 18 & 19, 2006) of cragging in Washington. On Saturday, we climbed the Cocaine Crack (5.10a; after 2 pitches of “approach” up R & D route, 5.6). Very nice…so nice in fact we’d be back in a couple years so that Shirley could style it 🙂 We looked around Leavenworth but many of the walls were still running with snow melt. Went to Vantage on Sunday where we climbed Steel Grille (5.9 off-width – nice!) and Seven Virgins And A Mule (5.7). I also chickened out of Sinsemilla (5.10c).Photos

Getting into the meat of things (10a fingers) on Cocaine Crack. Water inside the crack was not helpful despite what one might think (March 18, 2006).

Steel Grille (5.9)

Leading Steel Grille (5.9) - an OW crack route on the Sunshine Wall. Despite the constrictions, I was happy to have some large gear with me (March 19, 2006).

Leading Steel Grille (5.9) on the Sunshine Wall. A very nice route on very good rock despite the pigeon shit (March 19, 2006).
Sinsemilla (5.10c, fail)

My failed on-sight attempt of Sinsemilla (5.10c) - a stembox/finger tips route on Sunshine Wall (March 19, 2006).
Seven Virgins And A Mule (5.7)
