Summary
A cold and windy day in early April of 2011. We hiked into the east side of the Lower Gorge at Smith via the long approach route (river running very high). Only one more party in the Gorge this day. We were not feeling very motivated with the wind blowing and all (was supposed to be sunny and in the 50’s). I tried leading Blitzkrieg, a 5.9 off-width on the Hand Job Wall but realized that #4 Camalots were not sufficient. Bailed to the crack on the right. The only highlight of the day was the redpoint of the Hand Job (5.10b) route. Not a great day overall.Photos
