In October 2009, we made the relatively long hike up to the Wombat formation in The Marsupials and climbed this here Birds In A Rut (5.7). Touted as an unknown gem, it sounded like something that we should try. Hmmmmm, not sure about that. A highly contrived route with mostly uninspired climbing. An OK dihedral pitch near the top. That’s pretty much it. Nothing special. Save the long hikes for the mountains.
