Go back to Egypt.
Go back to Giza.
Cairo.
Our final day in Egypt was spent checking out some parts of the old city in Cairo. Once again, Max was our excellent tour guide. We saw the Coptic Christian part of the old city and wandered among the endless collection of ancient mosques as well as the souk. The highlight was a climb up to the top of a minaret in one of the old mosques. We had a slight worry in the back of our minds that Air France would ask for another Covid test prior to boarding our flight home that evening (yeah, we had called Delta/AF earlier and they were mostly leaning towards “not needed”). Anyway, Max told us he knew a guy where quick tests could be arranged should we get denied boarding later that night. Fortunately things went smoothly at check-in later that evening and we were some 25 hours later.
