Go back to Grampians Day 1.
The Frog.
We were debating a return trip to Mount Rosea versus something new for the next day. In the end, we went for the Bundaleer Cliff and climbed the 3-pitch
The Frog route (rated 16). Again, short but with some photogenic positions and baking in the sun. After this 4 day Arapiles and Grampians detour, we were back on the original schedule and so drove 5 hours to our next planned destination of Myrtleford outside of Mount Buffalo National Park. A side note here regarding driving in Australia. This was the first place in the world where we saw these photo based, average driving speed measuring systems. As you’re leaving a town on a two lane road, you pass a camera array. A 100 kilometers of nothingness later, there’s another set of cameras at the entrance to the next town. Your trip time has just been calculated and compared to the one prescribed by speed limits. I can only hope that all those stops to take pictures of kangaroos were enough to sufficiently lower our average…we’ll wait and see what arrives in the mail.
