Go back to South And Western Australia Trip.
Go back to Moonarie Day Two.
Outside Chance.
The third morning in Hawker looked overcast and we actually thought it might rain. So we got a late start and did a sightseeing drive up to the Wilpena Pound Resort and then onwards to explore more of the Ikara-Flinders Ranges National Park. The weather became sunny by midday and so we ended up in Hawker’s small community pool in the afternoon.
Back to the cliffs of Moonarie on day four. Having climbed what we thought were the two longest and most interesting lines (ones doable for us anyway), we hiked over to the far right side of the amphitheater and climbed the well reputed Outside Chance, a 2-pitch 16. Indeed, the first pitch did not disappoint.
