Go back to Ecuador.
Go back to Galapagos – Second Day And A Half.
Quito.
Two days in Quito – mainly to make sure we got the results of our Covid test for traveling home. We did a city tour on day one with a bunch of equator related stuff (blah) and a bunch of Catholic church stuff (depressing) in the Old Town. It’s been so many years that I have forgotten just how depressing Catholic churches are: death, death, death, and – lest you forget – more death. On day two, we drove 90 minutes out of the city to an indigenous town called Otavalo where the main attraction is a market. That was alright (scored some salad spoons) but we were ready to go home by then.

Our little hotel in Quito. Another good deal in this era of Covid madness. The highlight of the place was a beautiful German Shepherd named Otto who lives there with the owners (July 2021).

A shrunken head at a museum in Quito. Was hoping to buy one but they were out of stock. Will have to make my own – perhaps the tweakers camping in front of our house? Should have enough for a full necklace (July 2021).

The equator…actually this one is a bit off; the real deal passes a couple hundred meters to the north (July 2021).
