Summary
Shirley freezing on another good ledge atop the 4th pitch of Regular Route. One pitch above Crescent Ledge (Sept. 23, 2006).
After being crowded off of an attempt during Labor Day, Shirley & I came back later in the month (September 23, 2006 to be exact) and climbed this (classic!) gem under chilly conditions. Knowing that we’d face a crowd if we slept in, we drove straight from Reno following a Friday night flight and slept a couple of hours on the front seats of the rental at the trailhead. At 6am the thermometer was still showing mid-teens and so we slept for another hour only rising at 7am to balmy (20F) conditions. Freezing but great fun climbing!
