Summary
he first light hits the remnants of the old crater rim of Mt. Baker. View from Easton Glacier (June 19, 2004)
In June of 2004, our friend Bruce H. from the Mazamas invited us to come along on his Easton Glacier outing on Mount Baker. We took Friday off, drove up and did our approach to the base of the glacier. A quick bivy and nice group climb up the gentle glacier route put us on the scenic summit. We hiked out that day, drove to Leavenworth and climbed the
Saints (2-3 pitches, 5.8+) route on Castle Rock the following day. A nice weekend of snow and a bit of rock.
