Harau Valley Part Three

Harau Valley

Harau Valley.

On our second day, we decided to do a hike to a nice viewpoint of Harau. Did a bit more sightseeing and then checked out the nearby town of Payakumbuh. Here Joulee took us to her favorite coffee place. Wow, I think this was the fanciest coffee shop that I’ve ever seen. You’re not really drinking the coffee so much as sipping it like a fine wine. What I thought was a sampler (~100mL) portion, turned out to be the main event. We also got to try some beef rendang, a Sumatran specialty that Shirley cooks at home once in a while.
