MNHCC on El Cohete.
The following day we finally hiked up canyon and the climbed the proud looking El Cohete formation via its 500 meter long
Mejor No Hablar De Ciertas Cosas or
MNHCC – an 11ish pitch 6b route. The outstanding final 4 or 5 pitches (splitter cracks and clean faces) are guarded by a ~300 meter “approach” gully where the climbing is no harder than 5.7-5.8 but is a bit loose and a touch exciting in one or two places. The descent involves many double rope rappels down the route and is a little bit of a pain in the ass. Still, it was a great day.

A shitty section of kitty litter slab way out of sight of the last piece of pro – not hard (5.7-5.8) but bit shitty (Dec. 2016).
Starting the first pitch of the headwall on MNHCC…technically this variation is called Chipi Chipi Bon Bon (Dec. 2016).

The finish is this nice finger crack followed by a weird and very wide stem/step across onto the belay ledge (Dec. 2016).

Homeless p*rn. A relaxing bath (in snowmelt)…after 4 or 5 days, Shirley was insisting that I bathe before entering the tent (Dec. 2016).
