Cruel Harvest.We have a reasonably long tradition of introducing relative newbies to climbing. 90% of those cases have ended with them saying “fuck this” (and a good portion of those threw in the old “and fuck you guys”). Last Saturday we took our friends Josh & Carrie out to The Bend in Tieton for a quick intro. Did the usual Cruel Harvest, Tiers, and Salmon Song circuit but also mixed in the new to us Private Passion (5.7) and Another One Bites The Dust (5.8). The former is actually a pretty decent route, while the latter is ho-hum. A very enjoyable day out with good company. Hoping they’ll fall into the 10% bin!
