DGS.A quick trip to Index with our friend Josh and his partner Ryan on Saturday. Some sort of an organized AAC (?) event – holy clusterfuck! Shirley and I hiked up to the Upper Town Wall and climbed a somewhat obscure DGS route (5.9, 4 pitches). A little ho-hum and a touch dirty but with a scenic traverse pitch. I managed to knock myself with a cam and cut my face. We also ran into Wayne and Lane in town and Benny managed a few quick laps in the Skykomish River (brrrr).

Indian Heaven Wilderness.On Sunday, we drove up to the Indian Heaven Wilderness and hiked up to Junction Lake. Fall colors on full display and more chilly swimming for Benny. Funny how these days I enjoy a scenic family hike with our dog more than the local cragging.
