Pitch 1 of Something.A quick outing to Hells Canyon: Friday post-work with a quick Motel 6 overnighter in Baker City and a return home on Saturday evening. Yes, there was time for more but the pupper dog’s bucket of patience is still finite. We climbed a 3-pitch (5.10ish) route on the right side of the west face, immediately left of Devilicious (10b, 10a, 9; which was in fact our original goal but obviously the beta for the place is limited). The ratings on that one seemed to follow the reverse trend (easiest to hardest). Anyway, fun climbing and a stellar position! And, unlike in the spring time, no fucking ticks which was the real highlight of the outing.
