Go back to Arapiles Day 2.
Debutante.
Next day, we hiked up to Mount Rosea – home to the longest (I think) routes in the park at about 100 meters and change. The hike took a bit longer than expected as we were poking away at the overgrown trail ahead of us with a long stick. There we climbed the “easy” 5-pitch classic called
Debutante. Again, if you go at it with a 14 mindset you’re in for a sweet surprise I think. The first pitch offers a photogenic traverse finish and the fourth pitch is a little more delicate than the rating would imply. Very fun climb and a classic indeed. That afternoon we, along with about 200 kids and teenagers, discovered the joys of the community pool in Halls Gap.
