Summary
Shirley sending the money pitch of Trezlar (Oct. 2007).
In October 2007, we made a weekend outing to Smith with some friends. Pat C. joined us both days and we climbed the
Cosmos (5.10a, styled by Pat) and
Trezlar (ptich 2, 5.10a, styled by Shirley) followed by Shirley knocking off
Sundown (5.9). We’ve done
Trezlar via its traditional pitch one in the
past (once was enough). On Sunday, Jason H. joined the fun and we all went to the Lower Gorge. Shirley led
Gruff (5.10a), Pat led
Wildfire (5.10b) and I did the classic (in name especially)
Rim Job (5.10b). A good fun weekend in the warm fall sun of the desert.

Shirley sending the money pitch of Trezlar - a stellar crack & dihedral 5.10a pitch. Though it does not look it, the pitch is 100 feet long and works your calves. She's entering the crux section in the shot which begins with the hollow sounding block on right (ultimate belayer slayer - if that f..er goes, the belayer will likely be sliced in half...vertically). I'm bleyaing & our friend Pat is relaxing atop Cosmos (Oct. 2007).
