Shirley & Blondie relaxing in camp at Peggys Pond on the Saturday afternoon the day before our Daniel climb.

Sunrise over Cathedral Rock. Peggy's Pond is at its foot. Shot taken from low on the Southeast Ridge of Mt. Daniel (Sept. 28, 2003).

Alpenglow low on the SE Ridge of Mt. Daniel. The East Summit can be seen on the right (Sept. 28, 2003).

East Summit of Daniel (right) from the SE Ridge. The route follows the ridge to the saddle directly below the East Summit before traversing below it on scree (on the other side, Sept. 28, 2003).

Lynch Glacier, Peasoup Lake, and Glacier Peak in the far background from the West Summit of Mt. Daniel (Sept. 28, 2003).

Chimney Group Peaks from the summit of Daniel. In the foreground is Bear's Breast Mountain. There's a similar overview picture in Becky's book where he labels the other peaks (Sept. 28, 2003). Information added by Klenke: "The Chimney Group", the highest of which is Chimney Rock (7,727 ft). Chimney Rock is at center. At the bottom of this page you will find various photos of the Chimney Group. Others: Chikamin Peak is the pointy nub at center-left. Way off on the horizon at left are Tinkham and Silver peaks. While at far right, the two prominent peaks are Chair and Kaleetan peaks. Chikamin, Tinkham, Silver, Chair, and Kaleetan could reasonably be said to be among the Snoqualmie Area peaks. This last part was kindly provided by Paul Klenke.

East Peak of Daniel and the upper reaches of Daniel Glacier from near the MiddlePeak (Sept. 28, 2003).

Descending from the summit of Daniel. Main (West) Summit is in the background (the highest of the rock spires, Sept. 28, 2003).

Descending the SE Ridge of Mt. Daniel. On the right is Circle Lake; down below is Deep Lake (Sept. 28, 2003).

Cathedral Rock and Peggy's Pond as seen from the southeast ridge of Mt. Daniel on descent (Sept. 28, 2003).
