COLD! That’s what comes to mind from that trip to Red Rocks. We started with Olive Oil (5.7) and it was freezing (with snow on top). We got on Dark Shadows (5.8) the next day but it started to rain on us two pitches up (and we bailed). Third day started out wet as well and so we were doing some craggin in Calico Hills. Lunchtime-ish, we saw the sun peeping out and so we ran and climbed Geronimo (5.6) in Juniper Canyon. Nice route but of course we topped out in the dark…in fact, hiking out from Brownstone Wall in November 2010, we saw head lamps high up on Geronimo and had a nostalgic moment. On our final day, we climbed Johnny Vegas (5.7).
