The Prelude

Go back to British Chalk.

Oregon Coast

Oregon coast.

Since this is a family-heavy climbing trip write-up anyway, thought we’d start things off with a Benny-centric weekend we had in Oregon 3 days before setting off for the UK. There was some guilt on our part since we were planning to leave our pup behind on what would normally be a long family outing to the mountains. And so we did a nice 12 mile day hike up Battle Ax Mountain in the Oregon Cascades on Saturday (with the highlight being a swimming session in Twin Lakes) followed by some Oregon coast canine shenanigans on Sunday.
