A page for Australia the country for now and perhaps Australia the continent later on. Which I suppose may evolve into Oceania should we ever get the chance to climb in Indonesia, Papua, or New Zealand. What Australian climbing may lack in size (not a blanket statement; Balls Pyramid is plenty tall for example) it certainly makes up for in the exotic department, both with regard to rock types and the natural settings. And then there’s the amazing fauna of course. Our two trips to date are but a bite sized appetizer. There are so many other crags and places we’d love to check out, including things a bit more off the beaten path (South and Western Australia states for example). So far, climbing The Candlestick has been one of our favorite adventures.
