Ait Benhaddou

Ait Benhaddou.

Our drive back to Marrakesh was broken up with a stop at a town called Ouarzazate and its nearby kasbah in a village called Ait Benhaddou. We spent the night there and got up early enough in the morning to check out the Kasbah before the busloads of (fucking) tourists arrived.

Marrakesh

Marrakesh.

After a slow but scenic drive through the mountains, we arrived back in Marrakesh in the early afternoon. The rest of the day was killed off strolling aimlessly (make that dodging scooters and motorcycles) through the labyrinth of alleyways that make up the Medina. Also checked out the human zoo that is Jemaa el-Fna Square. Half a day in most cities is more than enough for us and Marrakesh was no exception.
